Wow, this trip impressed me far more than I anticipated! My family and I spent the week in Banff, Canada, and the location alone offered tons of scenery. From natural landscapes to urban areas, we had plenty of fun options to choose from. If you love the outdoors, you will never get bored in Banff. In just one week, we visited eight lakes, three waterfalls, and multiple hiking trails, yet we barely scratched the surface of what it has to offer. As shown in the photos below, the water is an experience that truly needs to be felt firsthand. Alongside the natural beauty, the small town of Banff was so vibrant and fun. There are so many options when it comes to coffee shops, restaurants, drinks, and shopping, you will never have to visit the same place twice.
Below, you will find some of my favorite recommendations and outfits that are perfect for the weather in Banff, Canada, in July!
LETS GO!
Hotels
This is the hotel where we stayed, and I couldn't speak more highly of it. It felt incredibly homey as soon as we walked in, and we were taken care of diligently. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive to any needs or questions we had, and they were knowledgeable about the area and activities. The hotel was centrally located in town, making it very easy to get around, yet it remained quiet and exuded a comforting ambiance. By the end of each day, the unique rooftop sauna and heated pools eased all our sore muscles, ensuring we were ready for the following day. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to Banff, Canada.
Banff Aspen Lodge- This hotel, located directly next to The Moose, was beautiful inside. It offers a more contemporary atmosphere while maintaining a welcoming feel. Additionally, Banff Aspen Lodge features a coffee shop and bakery on its lower level, open to the public, called Whitebark Cafe.
Hotel Canoe & Suites- Beautiful hotel. When we were there a couple of weeks ago, there was construction going on outside, but it did not affect the interior of the hotel. The future plans for this hotel are impressive, and I would love to stay there once it's finished. It is on the very edge of town, surrounded by beautiful scenery, and offers a much quieter atmosphere if that is what you prefer.

Traveling around
Walking- One of the best features of Banff, Canada, was the ease of walking to nearly all destinations within the town.
Roam Bus- The Roam Bus system operates throughout the day, providing transportation to all the key attractions in and around Banff. We took advantage of this service twice, traveling to the Banff Gondola and the Upper Hot Springs. It was incredibly convenient, and our hotel, The Moose, even offered complimentary bus passes.
Restaurants
The Three Bears- This restaurant is my top choice for a great atmosphere. With outdoor seating, stunning views, live music, and excellent food, it offers the perfect experience!
Melissa's Misteak (great breakfast)
Tooloulous (great brunch)
Earls Kitchen + Bar
UNA Pizza + Wine
The Canadian Brewhouse- I didn’t get a chance to visit, but it was entertaining to watch the lively atmosphere on the outside balcony as people cheered for their sports teams. It seemed like a fantastic sports bar.
Coffee Shops + Bakeries
Banff National Perk- My favorite and most unique coffee order: the rolo!
Little Wild- Our favorite gelato
Wild Flour Bakery
Good Earth
Whitebark Cafe
Evelyn's Coffee Bar
